Jaded detective John Verney is on the trail of an ancient cult of Plague Doctors which is cutting a bloody swathe through the London underworld. Dismissed by his superiors as gang on gang killings, the murders draw Verney into an obsessive maze of a secret society conspiracy with links to the Jack The Ripper murders of 1888, putting him and his family in grave danger.

His life is perfect—during the day, he catches criminals with his partner Dima Dubin, and in the evenings, he spends time with his girlfriend Yulia Pchelkina. However, everything changes abruptly when arms magnate August van der Holt arrives in town to sign a contract to modernize the police force. To do so, he enlists the services of a mercenary nicknamed Ghost, who is tasked with eliminating Grom and sowing panic among the peaceful population.

In 1990s St. Petersburg, police major Konstantin Grom is trying to find and neutralize the new criminal boss, nicknamed Anubis, while his ten year old son Igor is trying to earn money by getting involved in dubious adventures.

An outbreak of a bacteria called M-3 causes people to die in extreme pain via body spasms. A woman who is a carrier escapes from a hospital and goes on the run, spreading the plague to people she encounters, and onto food in fast food stops etc. She has no idea however that she is a carrier, and as such may carry a cure.

Doctor Doctor is an American television sitcom that aired on CBS. It began a short run in June 1989, and was picked up for a full season the following fall. A second season followed in fall 1990, but the show was cancelled at the end of the 1990-1991 season, due to low ratings. One episode, "Long Day's Journey Into Deirdre", remains unaired in the US.
